Explanation
A gallery is usually an exhibition space. Similarly, the Result Gallery Walk method is used to present products of individual and group work. Especially in schools this method is used, equally it can be helpful in the working world. The results of the work (e.g. posters or presentations from project work) are displayed clearly visible in the room, so that the participants can take note of all results and get an overview. Movement around the room can break up meetings that might otherwise be tiring. If different teams are working on the same topic, the Result Gallery Walk supports the change of perspective and encourages interaction. It is a good method to gather a lot of information in a short time.

Procedure

1. the results of the work are exhibited or hung up in a room. (In digital form, pictures of the products can be collected on a whiteboard).
2.  the participants now move around in the room and inform themselves about the topics on the basis of the results and work on them, e.g. by rating them.
3. all participants can take note of each other’s results, get an overview and give hints for revision.

Erklärung
Eine Galerie ist klassischerweise ein Ausstellungsort. In ähnlicher Weise dient die Methode Result Gallery Walk der Präsentation von Produkten aus Einzel- und Gruppenarbeiten. Besonders in Schulen kommt diese Methode zum Einsatz, gleichermaßen kann sie in der Arbeitswelt hilfreich sein. Die Arbeitsergebnisse (z. B. Plakate oder Präsentationen aus Projektarbeiten) werden gut sichtbar im Raum ausgestellt, sodass die Teilnehmenden alle Ergebnisse zur Kenntnis nehmen und sich einen Überblick verschaffen können. Die Bewegung durch den Raum kann die sonst vielleicht ermüdenden Meetings auflockern. Wird von unterschiedlichen Teams das gleiche Thema bearbeitet, so unterstützt der Result Gallery Walk den Perspektivwechsel und lädt zur Interaktion ein. Es ist eine gute Methode, um in kurzer Zeit viele Informationen sammeln zu können.

Vorgehensweise

1. Die Arbeitsergebnisse werden in einem Raum ausgestellt bzw. aufgehängt. (Im digitaler Form können z.B. Bilder der Produkte auf einem Whiteboard gesammelt werden)
2. Die Teilnehmenden gehen nun im Raum herum und informieren sich anhand der Ergebnisse zu den Themen und bearbeiten diese, zum Beispiel per Bewertung.
3. Alle Teilnehmenden können so die Ergebnisse aller anderen zur Kenntnis nehmen, sich einen Überblick verschaffen und Hinweise für eine Überarbeitung geben.
